Its absolutely devastating what had happened to Cotto from the fight with Antonio Margarito.

Part 2 airs tonight at 11 PM.

24/7 Part 2

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bt3uNnddquM

There seems to be a lot of behind the scene bullshit brewing in Pacquaio's camp between his team members. Not to mention how many destractions Pacquaio has endured throughout camp in the Philippines, and in Manila.

Part 3 airs this weekend on Saturday 8 PM Central time.

I think Pacquiao's advisor is exactly what his strength trainer says he is.  Rumor was the original dust up between them was because the advisor wanted to be in the corner during the fight instead of the strength trainer.  This was the same advisor that was apparently telling Manny that he didn't need Freddy Roach anymore.......

In everything they've shown so far, I'd say Pac Man has twice the hand speed that Cotto has.  Also it looks like Roach and the strength coach are pushing Paquiao very hard, and Cotto is just training inside his comfort zone.

I think the advisor is more of a business advisor.  Manny needs to tell his advisor that his only roll is outside the ring.  I don't think you need a strength coach or a life advisor in your corner at all.

If this boxing thing doesn't work out, maybe he can become the new lead singer for Journey!

They are showing it daily on channel 101 on direct tv.  Trying to sell more PPV's is my guess.

Cotto doesn't let the cameras show his sparring, so we don't get the whole picture.

That said, Pacman just looks too damn fast. PacUD

I think these guys are very evenly matched, and I'm really looking forward to the fight.  I make very few predictions any more, and CoryR knows why!

I'm a big fan of both Cotto and Pacquiao, they both are obviously great fighters and great people in general. Neither one of them are trash talking each other, they both are big on giving back to their communities/people, etc. However, having been in 2 different Cotto training camps, I don't think that Cotto trains with the intensity that is required for a fighter to defeat Pacquiao.  Not only that, but there aren't many sparring partners out there who can emulate Pacquiao.  I think Cotto is gonna be in great shape, he has a great strength and conditioning Coach, but still I just don't think that he or his camp have had the intensity required for a Pacquiao defeat.  Its gonna be a great fight and the best man will win that night.  My prediction though is Pacquio TKO in rounds 10, 11, or 12.

My gut tells me that Cotto is damaged goods after the Margarito fight. I know Teddy Atlas has said that over and over, and not sure if they touch on that in 24/7 (havent seen it yet, but CRod refers to that). I have always been a tad suspect of Cotto after he got buzzed by Torres, who was completely unknown at that time.

From there, i became a believer, and thought he fought great against Mosley. Although I respect his bravery in his fight against Clottey, I believe that had Clottey stepped on the gas, it would have been over. I just didn't like the way he was fighting--just surviving.

With that, I just don't see how Manny loses this one. He is fighting at such a high level, and brings his speed with him as he tacks on weight. 126 is right--how do you emulate him in sparring? I am also going with Manny in mid to late round stoppage for all the reasons everyone else has listed.

I hope the fight is good because the undercard looks like its going to suck. JCC Jr? Seriously?? I like watching Yuri Foreman fight, but even I dont like to see him on major PPV cards--and I think I might be one of 10 people in the US that enjoy watching him fight.  Gomez-Karras might be ok, but I think JSK knocks Gomez silly. Overall, a very weak undercard for a PPV event, imo. Casual fans will be bitching up a storm with that Foreman fight.

I think clottey is under rated though..... The guy has a hard head and lots of heart....i didnt exactly think cotto was going to go in there and destroy him. It was a pretty close fight,he is strong enough to stick in there with the best....hence cotto. Other than that i agree with all of what you say Don! Who knows how the margarito fight would have went if he wasnt using bricks. For most  of the fight cotto was beating his ass more so than mosley was until that last 2 rounds i think it was.( I guess we really dont know if he was cheating vs cotto, but strong pos. that he was) Actually made me hate Margarito...especially since it gave cotto his ONLY loss to date!

I like Pac-man's speed, but he is awkward, very busy, and unorthodox in style, which can be hideous yet vicious!

I like Cotto's boxer/puncher abilities. He can move, has great defense, and punches with authority.

Pac-man's speed will not make a differnce. Cotto has already proved that he can beat fighters with speed... such as Malignaggi, Judah, and Mosely. I believe Cotto's defense, and boxing ability will put an end to Pac-man's great run at being pound for pound.

You make a good point, Corey.  When you look at his history, obviously no one has ever used speed to beat Cotto.  Only plaster.
