Seriously.....I'm not even joking.  At least Sharpe has a good record.  Maybe he will eat a bunch of Walters honey to gain weight?

I think he did move up in weight to fight Rumbolz though.  Yay.

Apparently you've never seen Larry Sharpe's height.  Gary will be good sparring for this.  Another southpaw for Zach though.  Getting ready for the Drill?

Danny Figueroa is what I heard.....That'd be good.

Sharpe should have been gotten for Kolle.  He'd be the perfect debut at 154.

Love the Danny/Gary fight. Danny looked very good Oct. 3 until cut. Should be a fun fight.

Thanks for the height. I was wondering about that. The more I have heard, the more excited I have gotten for that one.

I think I may have his fight against Darren Barker on dvd somewhere. I'll have to dig that up and see about his height. I don't recall him being too short, but don't remember.

Sharpe is definitely tough. I think he is a converted kick boxer, and as I recall took up boxing in his late twenties. I've only seen him once against Barker, and he is very awkward and very tough. I remember before the fight they talked about how he has improved his power the past year or two.

When I first heard about this, I was very surprised by this matchup because I have always thought of Sharpe as a junior mid. In fact, I always thought Sharpe and Vanda would put on one hell of a show.

Sharpe couldn't contend with the hand speed of Barker, and Barker used his jab very well to keep Sharpe from coming on. Sharpe will keep coming.

Robertson was incredibly beat up when that fight was over.  He might need some time to recover.

Once again Vanda has fought as low as 150 and campaigned as a jr.middle,Phil has fought as high as 185 and campaigned as a light heavy, how come this fight is not being criticized like the Walters Sharpe Match,HMMMMM

Because Vanda has consistently moved up in weight......Vanda has been bulking up and has always been more comfortable at 160 lbs.  This fight is at 165, not the 170 lb mark that Walters and Sharpe are hitting.  If there was ever a time for Zach to move to 168 or lower this would be it.  I think the catch weight is a sign that he won't be at super middle, as well as the constant referral to his "state title" that has all of a sudden come back in the last week.

Vanda just dominated a guy at light heavy, Ted Muller, that had Walters down twice.

Vanda has a victory over Tocker Pudwill who challenged for a super middleweight world title on two occasions.

Vanda shut out Bruce Rumbolz with ease well before Larry Sharpe beat him.  Rumbolz actually weighed a pound heavier in that fight than Phil will on November 13th.

Phil is technically moving down 3 pounds from his class and Vanda is only moving up 5 from his normal weight.

Now if we give Sharpe and Vanda the benefit of the doubt and call them both middleweights then Vanda is only giving up 5 lbs to the smaller Phil and making him cut to a career low.  If you saw them on FSN, you realize the height difference isn't that great.  In fact, Phil claims that after this fight he will take a shot at making 160 and go after Kolle's title as well.  Phil does, however, maintain that anytime Zach wants to step up and put his "state title" on the line he will return to 175 just to quiet the doubters.

Phil and Matt have said countless times that they will fight anyone.  They are proving it.  Walters has never proved that the way these guys do, and that's why he doesn't get the same amount of respect.

Vanda vs. Phil will be the most watched Minnesota vs. Minnesota fight ever seen live in this state.

Ok, make sure you tell the MN judges who had it for Vanda that they are dumb and pathetic.....That'll go over well for your kids as they keep fighting here.

Phil Williams beat Isaiah Henderson who beat Shawn Hammack who knocked out Zach Walters.  Wanna keep going?

Phil Williams beat Butch Hajicek, who beat Chris Holt, who beat JJ Corn.  There done with JJ!
