Remember when we tried to do this every week?  That didn't work....but I think it can work with the super 6 tournament.  Let's give it a try.

Winner:  2 points.
How:  1 point
Perfect first round:  1 point

Arthur Abraham vs. Jermain Taylor
Andre Dirrell vs. Carl Froch

Make your picks!  I still have no idea.....

I'm having the hardest time with Taylor Abraham. I am baffled by this one. I heard Taylor has a nutrionist now and that it will improve his stamina. Is it me, or does he have a reason EVERY fight why he should be better THIS time? Steward, training in the mountains, back to Ozzie, new nutrionist, etc.

Put me on the record for:

Dirrell by UD

Taylor by KO

Im not at all confident, but if Dirrell can beat Kost, he can beat anyone. I remember asking Kenny what is like to fight Dirrell and he just closed his eyes, shook his head, and said, "He's there, you punch, and he's nowhere--you can't believe how fast he is"

Group Stage 2

• January in the U.S.: Abraham-Dirrell.

• March in Europe: Froch-Kessler.

• Spring 2010 in the U.S.: Ward-Taylor.

Group Stage 3

• Summer 2010 in the U.S.: Ward-Dirrell.

• Summer 2010 in Europe: Froch-Abraham.

• Fall 2010 in the U.S.: Kessler-Taylor.

The interesting thing here is Andre Ward never has to leave the United States while Carl Froch never has to leave Europe.  I'm not sure if that is by design or if their promoters had that cut into their deals.

I have no idea what to think about Jermain Taylor......Part of me doesn't believe that Jermain can knock out Abraham if Edison Miranda couldn't do it when Abraham has a broken jaw.  Can Dirrell go a hard 12?  I have no idea.  What I do know is the Showtime preview show is excellent and everyone should check it out here:

WARNING: YOU DO SEE DAN RAFEAL IN SHORTS in this video. A site I never though I'd have to see.

Although Froch doesnt have to leave the UK, he does have to fight at 2am his time. I'm sure they will make adjustments toward the end of camp, but I have to believe that's a slight disadvantage--maybe not.

The only thing about Miranda not getting the KO is that toward the latter part of that fight, AA figured out Miranda, exposed him, and I think Kelly used that as a blueprint to make Miranda fight backward imo. Gotta give AA credit for backing up a guy with a broken jaw.

I am very pumped for these fights. Just no idea what to expect. Froch is going to have to use timing a hell of a lot better than he did with Taylor to counter that speed. But then again, who has Dirrell faced (other than Kost)--we know he has the talent, but he is very untested. Oddsmakers have it basically even.Cant wait

I believe most ppl think that froch will win but I think dirrell will expose him! Speed kills!

I think taylor knows whats on the line and i think JT will show up!

Kost looked horrible against Dirrell, kenny didnt even look like he wanted to fight, but i just think thats how quick andre really is...not kennys fault i guess, he just didnt stand a chance!

Dirrell by UD
Taylor by late TKO

I think Dirrell will outpoint Froch most every round and have a speed advantage.
I think taylor will break down in the late rounds again, and abraham will get the stoppage after being behind on points

Dirrel UD over Froch
AA Wins by KO over taylor

Taylor beats Abraham.  Scores give Abraham a UD over Taylor.  Everyone gets pissed about the judging.  Either that or Abraham knocks out Taylor with 16 seconds left in the fight!

Dirrell TKO over Froch.  Froch is embarrassed in this fight.

Just watched dirrell/hanshaw again...loved it when dirrell slips and anthony comes over and gives him sh#t, and later on he pays for that comment!!! Woo Hoo! Reminds me of Bonsante/kolle....tony gives kolle the come hither motion, he does, and bonsante pays as well! Gettin jacked for this super six! Dirrell/Ward will be crazy if they fight! Think it might come down to who has the better chin.... What does everyone think?

I think that speed kills, and toughness can't be learned.  That's why I like Ward and Dirrell (speed) and Abraham (toughness) in the first round.

I also think that Kessler isn't what he once was, Froch is an inferior talent in this group, and Taylor doesn't have the toughness or stamina to hang with the best super middleweights (except Froch).

I think taylor could prob beat all of them if he had STAMINA! Fistic your right speed kills and it almost always is the deal breaker! I wont be able to see these epic fights till tuesday....once again not a happy camper! Grrr.... Blastin some ducks for the third weekend in a row! I know its not boxing but has anybody been out duck hunting this year and if so how did ya do?
